Most rejections are caused by the image being too large in file size (KB/MB), the wrong pixel dimensions, or the wrong file format. This tool fixes all three simultaneously.
The UK government requires a JPG photo with a minimum of 600 pixels on the longest side, at least 50KB and no larger than 10MB. Use the UK Passport preset above for the standard digital dimensions.
The minimum KB setting ensures your file is at least a certain size. If your image is naturally very small, set the output dimensions larger (e.g. 600×600 instead of 200×200) to increase the file size.
Scaling down a large image to smaller dimensions is done at high quality. If you're compressing to a very low KB target, some JPG compression is applied, but for standard passport and form sizes the result is excellent quality.
