When is it OK to remove a watermark?

Before you remove anything, ask yourself:

• Do I own this document, or did someone give me permission to edit it?
• Is the watermark there only for draft/review purposes, or is it for copyright protection?

You should only remove watermarks from:

• Your own documents
• Documents a client or colleague has asked you to finalise

Avoid removing watermarks from ebooks, purchased templates or copyrighted materials you do not own.

How to remove a watermark using an online tool

Here’s the basic process using EasyPDF Studio:

What if the PDF is a scanned document?
